A FANTASTIC SHOW!!! While Eric had a good night on Thursday, tonight was superb. The standout track was "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" during which Eric laid down one of the most spectacular solos in memory (no pun intended). Eric was much more comfortable throughout and even "Dreams" was first-rate...
UPDATED 20 MARCH 2009: VIDEOS ADDED! Review by Terry Eicheimer: In an historic reunion at the Beacon Theater, Eric Clapton joined the Allman Brothers Band for a spirited performance (most of the second set). Though a bit tentative during the first numbers, Eric nonetheless played an inventive solo during the Allman Brothers' epic, Dreams. Derek & the Dominos classics Little Wing and Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad were highlights of the set in terms of Eric's playing. Susan Tedeschi joined the band for a welcome surpise: Anyday.

Eric Clapton - The Borgata Hotel, Atlantic City NJ - Sunday 25 May 2008 2Photo Credits: © EasyNow - UPDATED 29 MAY 2008: VIDEO "ROCKIN' CHAIR" ADDED Review from the photographer: The concert was alright, but still not as good as Tampa was in my opinion. The opening was interesting, because Eric played slide on Motherless Children and then continued playing slide throughout the intro to Key to the Highway. Doyle is playing very well, but Eric is leaning on him to play more of the parts that Eric had been doing, himself, in the past. Sometimes Eric was inspired, but more often than not he seemed to be in cruise control mode. Some good playing by Eric on the interesting songs, but nothing really spectacular except, surprisingly, on Drifting.
If you attended this private show, please send us your review and/or setlist! See videos of the concert on the next page.
